CAMOTES ISLAND MISSION

Last August 2011, the LBCM-FRONTLINERS FOR CHRIST of Isabel, Leyte launch another church planting mission - CAMOTES ISLAND MISSION which Pastor Joshua Caleb Hocson spearheaded as missionary that is station at San Francisco, Camotes Island, Cebu.

Pastor Joshua started the pioneering work without contracts. As of today, they are three groups thet he minister. Anothyer also is an islet called Tulang Diyot ( white sand beach), where he started a simple worship attended by one christian family and some young people.

Because the country of ours is fragmented,  and in every region, part of our country has its own food delicacies, such as pakbet, laing, adobo and etc. But there is a kind of food that is for the general consumption, especially for those who are wine drunker. It is usually shouted by the seller at night time. They call it. .

“ Pinoy. . .! Balut. . . !(sisiw!) “

It was almost 5 months that we stayed in the hospital; my wife has to undergo chemotherapy for her acute myeloid leukemia. Every day we have meet doctors, nurses and almost every hospital personnel. Even though, we are in pain and sorrow, still the urgency to win soul burn our hearts.

You usually hear all these saying…,

“  .. Until my last breath.’, “ as long as I have strength..” , “ If I am still allow.. Why not..?”  “ If God permits…”  and many more saying. These are the words of a person who is doing and loving his job but not contented of doing once but more. But most of us are contented and okey in our very comfort zone.
